Battery questions....
I'm scratching my head here....
Ever since I installed the "new" T-105 Blems I could swear that the cart was slower. Now that I have an upgraded controller after 10 minutes of running - (not hard running or hill climbing) I can see the battery gauge go down 2 or 3 bars. The 2007 PDS with brand new batteries seems to run significantly stronger than my cart ever did! Here are the facts... Specific Gravity (Hydrometer)... I estimated the actual #'s as the meter doesn't get that specific... For reference, the "line" between good and fair is 1.250. There are 3 readings for each battery - one for each cell. Batt1: 1.275, 1.26, 1.20 6.26 volts Batt2: 1.26, 1.26, 1.275 6.32 volts Batt3: 1.28, 1.28, 1.26 6.36 volts Batt4: 1.275, 1.275, 1.275 6.42 volts Batt5: 1.250, 1.200, 1.250 6.07 volts Batt6: 1.275, 1.275, 1.250 6.33 volts Total Pack Voltage: 38.39 volts This is after 100% complete charge. All accessories are run off of a seperate 12v battery. All battery manufacture dates are either H7 or I7. My concern is the very sudden drop off of voltage after a very short amount of run time. Houston.... do I have a problem? |

Batt # 5 looks like the problem. Swap that battery out with a know good one from another set and it may speed up. Batts 2,3 and 6 are pretty close to each other...batts 1 and 4 swing to far from the rest. A good balanced pack will all be within a few points of each other. Yours are all over the place. |

Re: Battery questions....
A good set of batteries should read closer to 40 volts when fully charged.
Yours read Total Pack Voltage: 38.39 volts. Sounds low to me. When you drive it can you check the voltage. When you take off what does the voltage do. It should drop then come right back up to or near full voltage. |

Re: Battery questions....
One of the benefits of shopping locally with someone that you trust is the customer service aspect. I brough back 4 of the 6 batteries and swapped them out for new ones.
Pack is much closer to balanced now.... |
