starter generator
starter generator not charging
i checked for voltage out of green wire that comes out of generaror nothing there i checked on the battery with it running wide open still nothing will replacing the brushed help |

No voltage is supposed to come out of the green wire.... Take the green wire from the starter generator and ground it straight to battery and run motor wide open for a short time with meter on the battery grounding the green wire will send full field to starter generator and you should get 17ish volt reading at the battery if it does this confirms your voltage regulator is bad and starter generator is operating as it should

i did that put green wire on negitive side of battery 17 ish volts
guess its the regulator ty for your help |
