Default Front tire issues when reversing

Need suggestions...I just bought a new cart, ‘14 Club Car Precedent. Years ago, I had a modified EZGO and decided to purchase a CC this go around. The previous owner bought it new and installed a MJFX lift, 22” Sahara classics, wheels, fold down rear seat and a few other things. The only issue I have found thus far is when the cart is in reverse and turning. If you turn to sharp while backing up, it’s almost as if the front tires get pulled into a perpendicular postition with the cart. Almost as if it is turning to sharp and goes past a certain point and the tires start to drag and no longer roll. Any ideas on how to correct or adjust this??

Thanks!

I would make sure to check all the fasteners are tight. Sounds like you might have a heim joint or two that are not tightened.

Or the toe in is not set evenly for both sides. When in forward, does it turn the same left and right or does it turn sharper to one side?

basshawk84, I'm having the issue you brought up. It turns way sharper to the left than the right. Is there an easier way to fix this without removing the steering column, centering the steering box and reinstalling the steering column?

You need to center the steering box. If you look at the steering box you'll probably notice that you've got far more threads exposed on one tie rod vs the other one. Check out this thread....
