Has anyone ever tried to make a homemade lift kit with just like longer bolts. i dont want to spend more than like 40 bucks as im on a VERY tight budget. i just want a good 2-3 inches.

Yes, but you might want to include make, model and year for the best results.

I looked at a CC the other day that was lifted in the front by cutting the frame about 18" from the front and dropping that front section straight down where the top of it meets the bottom of the rear section and two "Z" brackets (3/16" steel) sandwiched the frame back together with 3 bolts, front and back, each side. A brace was added from near the top center, down and out to the rear section of the frame. It looked and felt solid and had a good ride. The cart is only used to run back and forth to the mailbox or short trips at the campground; probably not much rough riding. The rear had longer shackles on oem leaf springs.
