Magical oil
So in a nutshell. No leaks on motor. Perfect compression. New rings. Everything on the head is perfectly adjusted. 1.5 quarts of oil in exactly. No smoke. Massive amount of oil disappears. Nothing in air box. Crankcase vent tube produces no oil. No power loss. Just magical disappearing oil. 1998 marathon Ezgo 296?

Run your finger around inside the exhaust pipe... is it oily?

Re: Magical oil
The common issue on that motor is the valve stem seal going away and allowing a slight amount of oil to be burned off.

Re: Magical oil
Sorry about multiple threads. Can I delete old ones? The inside of the exhaust pipe is not wet. It has a lot of carbon build up but that's all. What is the valve stem? We dismantled the head and it is clean as a whistle. Mic'd everything
