Getting into carting with 1994 EZGO medalist
6583.jpgBought an Ezgo medalist 94.5 model 36volt all stock for us to use around the campgrounds with our rv. Were just wanting something to cruise around on. Read alot about 48 volt being the most desirable but how bad is a stock 36 volt with good batteries and stock tires for 2 people?

Not too bad if you don't mind joggers passing you on the hills.

Re: Getting into carting with 1994 EZGO medalist
I have a 94 medalist myself. Stock I got around 12-13 mph. Since then I've upgraded to 48 volt, 400 amp Alltrax, stock motor, and I get around 19 mph now. That's my experience with the same cart you have.

Re: Getting into carting with 1994 EZGO medalist
thanks for the responses everyone. I possibly will be getting a 57 chevy fiberglass body given to me if he can find all the parts. Just bought 6 Fullriver agm batteries for it thinking of installing a small 12volt deepcycle battery to run radio and lights off of.

Re: Getting into carting with 1994 EZGO medalist
It's easier to install a 12v reducer for lighting than it is to maintain a separate battery. Be sure to get one that turns on/off with the cart keyswitch. These units draw 12v from the whole battery pack evenly without creating a pack imbalance.

I bought mine for "cruising around the neighborhood". Didn't take long to spend $1k+ on it but now I'm haulin azz around the neighborhood (if haulin azz is 25mph!)
