Default G9 igniter options

Hey guys just got a G9 Yamaha I believe because it has the rubber trio around the front bumper. The guy said it lost spark and had replaced the igniter with a cheap eBay igniter so I need some help on where to purchase that’s not eBay ?

Also Since he cut the connector or do they sell a replacement ?

If he cut the connector off I’d do a Chrysler conversion. Probably Won’t be easy to find that connector. The best place to get an oem one is partzilla if you know the part number (it’s on here in one of these threads) or call plowmans. But they’re big $$$ I believe msrp is around $400. I believe partzilla was around $300. Chrysler is under $30 lol

I just bought this cheap thing off Amazon. Fixed my spark problem and my G9 is now running.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B095LRQF1K/

Who knows how long it will last.

Better image of the diagram. There was another much older thread about it, that I got most the info from for my cart but their diagram was difficult to follow and backwards so I drew one that’s easier and posted it in that thread. My cart never had a problem again.

Thank u for all the helpful links, I’m new to the G9 Yamaha world can anyone help me out with the harness to see what there for ?

I’m looking at the end of the harness to where the connector connects to the igniter and such since it’s been cut.

If you’re gonna do the Chrysler thing, I’d do what I did. I ran my own new wires to everything as shown in the diagram I drew. The only stock wires I used were the pickup coil wires for the pulse signal for spark. These are the white/red and white/black wires. There is a 3 pin plug coming out of where the fan is, with these wires. And a black wire. You don’t need the black one. Just the 2 white ones. The rest of the wires everywhere I just ran my own to everything because like you, my previous owner cut up the harness big time. And what he didn’t cut was melted…
