2-strokes don't like the cold. Choke IS required to get them started. Motors with low compression will have a very hard time starting in the cold or won't start at all.
They are not made to idle... If you want it to, try turning the idle mix screw to a lower setting. Do this with the rear tires OFF the ground. Be careful with duct taping filters to your intake... it only takes a little bit of dirt to score a cylinder. |

I got it running but i found out why it was loud as hell, the muffler is broke where it connects to the engine (can't believe it ran), also i found out it is a 82 by the code on it, when i took off the exaust there was a mount for a butterfly inside the exaust? nothing was hooked up to it.Also what is so special about the 82 g1's?Lots of questions.
