Default G1 question please

Can someone tell me if I change out the engine in my G1 to a JLO 297cc out of my old snowmobile will give me some more power? It has 17 1/2 hp out of my old Ski doo Super Scout Mark II and has a Tillotson HD carb on it. It also has the torque converter and belt and the clutch converter. the specs says it can be set up to electric start. I know when it was in the sled if run like a scalded dog.
Thanks.

If the Tillotson HD carb is anything like the ones on the Harley panheads, I know they are hard to set correctly.

Hello and your right they are hard to set, but when I had it on the sled I got it right because that sled ran great. I did have a little trouble trying to get a part for the carb one time.
Thank you for your help on this.
