1991 ezgo marathon 3pg timing
I just rebuilt a 1991 ezgo marathon 3pg 244cc robin engine. I did the full rebuild with crank, bearings jug and piston and now when put back together, now has a slight miss/knock/backfire when at higher RPMs. It seems to be predetonation. I marked the crank sensor during the rebuild and replaced to exactly the same marked position. I know it doesn't need much of an adjustment, I just need the correct direction to adjust since I have to remove the engine to get the flywheel back off and would only like to do this once...The flywheel spins clockwise, and I believe I am getting predetonation at the higher RPMs, so do I advance or retard the timing to solve this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.
