How fast?
I have a 98 cc carryall 1. I put a 13 hp clone in it. I have to run the tranny in reverse due to the direction of the shaft on the engine turning counter clockwise. How fast do you guys think it will go? And, should I look into changing gears in rear end?

Re: How fast?
How fast? There is no way to tell away from the cart. Try a GPS or have someone along side you in a car at the same speed to tell you how fast they are going.
Gears in the rear end? Thats not going to solve the problem, but it might help speed it up a little. |

Re: How fast?
Doolin, can you have someone drive along side of the cart and tell us how fast or slow it goes?
Do you have stock tires on it? How easily did the motor fit? You might find this interesting...I have yet to do this project so I'm interested in what you learn..... Did you read this thread? >>> http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...-rotation.html |

Re: How fast?
we just put a vtwin in my friends 97 cc which is clockwise and is was pretty straight foward, after the install he could barely get 30mph twisting it 7000rpm with 26" tires

Re: How fast?
Scottyb, it was pretty straight forward on the install. I think I moved the new engine up about 2" I will keep you posted on this one. Still learning myself.
Greengobblin, Your buddy's cart drives from the right or left side of cart? Or are you saying it was a clockwise engine and you put in a counterclockwise? |
