Re: 89 club cart help
Yep! The bottom micro is the engine kill switch, if it's not working correctly, you won't get spark!

Re: 89 club cart help
Mine had entermintant spark and it was the rev limiter located beside the starter generator if I hit it or shook the wires it would start if I stopped it it wouldn't start tell I hit it again and finally stopped working and replaced it. was 160 bucks but fixed my problem. I did a load of research and it kept pointing back to the rev limiter and how I found this forum!

Re: 89 club cart help
I feel you, your supposed to be able to cut the ground wire to it and disable it but that never worked for me. U may try that it was the brown wire coming off of the rev limiter I cut it farther down so I could re attach it if needed, I'm sure there's a way to completely remove it but I'm not familiar with motors.

Re: 89 club cart help
I have found cutting the ground wire does always work if it is the rpm limiter. It is the brown wire. If you dont want to cut the wire just unbolt it from the motor (10mm bolt) and try it. If it runs your good just be mindful of the higher motor rpm

Re: 89 club cart help
Really? After I cut mine it never would start again. Where dose it bolt to the motor? It looked like the wires ran up in the motor but I didn't try to hard to chase them.
