Default Wiring starter/generator on '03 DS -A1 or A2?

I have a 2003 gas DS that needs a new starter/generator. My son and I took off the old one a long time ago to see if we could somehow fix it. Instead, the cart stayed broke and parked for many months.

We just bought a new starter/gen. and now don't know where to connect the large green wire coming from the F1 terminal - A1 or A2?

I've read threads and studied diagrams until I'm just about cross-eyed and still don't know a definite answer. Some diagrams (via google) show F1 wired to A2, with A1 going to ground, and some show F1 wired to A1, and A2 going to ground. I ~think~ this makes a difference in the direction it spins?

Would someone clear this up for me?

Thanks

My problems:

1. I don't know a thing about cart (or auto) electronics.

2. I have an old solenoid and a new one (just in case the old one is bad). I've decided to not even try the old one, but don't know how to hook up the new one either. The smaller posts on the new one are labeled 'S' and 'I'.

I need to know which post to attach the blue wire, and which to attach the orange wire... or if it even matters.

As long as its a "continuous duty" solenoid, it wont matter which way you hook up the small terminals.
