Marathon Starting
Sorry, I've read every thread I could read and still haven't found the answer I need. I have in 1988 EZGO Marathon two-cycle gas. When I bought it a few days ago it started a couple times at the previous owners house, by the time I drove it home and it no longer would do anything. It's a new, fully charged battery, new solenoid, starter just rebuilt, working on new voltage regulator, new spark plug. It wont crank, turn over, sputter, nothing. Trying to get it running for my father in laws bday tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Re: Marathon Starting Help
Get the manual from around here check my first thread where cart around posted it. Find every wire and make sure it is connected and has continuity.

Check the fuse in the back of the F/R switch under the seat. Little black fuse holder.

Not at home now, can't upload the manual. Use the 85 manual that was in my last posting. It sounds like the fuse between the key switch and solenoid.

Re: Marathon Starting Help
If it isn't the fuse, your cart has a second microswitch that is not in the 85 manual. It is located on the passenger side of the forward reverse switch.

Re: Marathon Starting Help
Fuse checked out. I'm scrambling to find someone who sells the microswitches. I have them ready to come out.

Re: Marathon Starting Help
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-h...generator.html if you want you can also test you starter generator real quick leave it on the cart just disconnect the wires first (label them). I use one of the heavy gauge wires to from f1 to a2 then a set of car jumper cables to go to the battery.
