Yamaha G2 bogging down
Hey guys!
Yamaha g2 cart boggs down when taking off and when driving, choking it wakes the thing right up replaced spark plug, air filter & box straps, and carb. fresh fuel runs EXACTY the same I was really hoping replacing the carb was going to do it, but no change at all. Whats next? im stumped. I usually toss a carb on these things and it fixes it lol. |

Re: Yamaha G2 bogging down
first and most importantly, check the side of the carburetor. it should say MIKUNI. If it says MOKINI or anytthing else, it's junk. throw it in the trash. Clean the OEM MIKUNI out really really well. And double check to make sure the plastic intake spacer the carb bolts to is not cracked. They crack very easily and will cause it to run lean and bog. It's just held in with 2 philips screws, remove it and inspect it closely.

Re: Yamaha G2 bogging down
I will have to double check that spacer. It’s just odd, I’ve ran the eBay/amazon carbs many times with no issues
