What oil mixture are you using? Try disconnecting the muffler, and see if it gets any better.
There also has to be more history on the cart. Why did you change the seals, and other things. |

Cart runners fine just hard to start and carb flooding. Pulled carb apart and cleaned will reinstall tomorrow and see what happens.

Re: 1988 2 pg hard starting
Is the carb new? Ive had two of the Chinese carbs that were crap straight out of the box. The needle valve wasnt seating and caused the condition you describe. I have fixed up a lot of old carts and the Chinese ones have about a 25 percent failure rate out of the box, 50 percent after one year of operating. While you have the carb off, remove the bowl, push up on the float and see if you can blow through the fuel intake. If you can, the needle valve isnt seating. If you cant, make sure the float floats and sits level when you turn the carb upside down.

Had already checked float. Found a screw on top of the read valve. Removed it now it starts and no flooding.

Is this the big screw that you removed?
