Re: 2017 Yamaha Drive2 48v DC vs AC
Well It turns out after looking for the model number that the 2018 EZGO Rxv that I was sold is actually on a 2012 Chassis but completely rebuilt to a 2018. This wasn’t really disclosed to me and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I don’t have enough golf cart knowledge to know If this type of thing is normal. I knew I was buying a used cart but didn’t realize it was to this extent. Cart drives great, however, I honestly don’t think I would have paid what I did knowing this. Any thoughts, is this normal for used carts?

Re: 2017 Yamaha Drive2 48v DC vs AC
We refurbish carts all the time to back to "new looking" status, however the main components (motor, controller, solenoids, etc.) are still left original and we def don't advertise them as what ever year we refurb them...that seems a little dishonest in my opinion.

That is illegal in most states. They can say the year it was refurbished but cannot advertise it as a certain year model that is not correct.

Re: 2017 Yamaha Drive2 48v DC vs AC
From previous post it sounded like the dealer told you it was a 2018. That’s dishonest. The dealers around here that sell refurbished/reconditioned carts tell you what year it really is, not what year they updated it. My brother just bought a 2011 EzGo from a dealer that looks brand new but they truthfully list and price stuff.

Re: 2017 Yamaha Drive2 48v DC vs AC
Yeah, you paid for all the newer goodies, like curtis controller, and easily replaced motor encoder, plus 6 years less mileage. And if it still has a danaher controller, they clearly didnt "update" anything to 2018. They use this line on anyone who asks, and you were smart enough to find the info & bust them on their BS. This place you bought from is total scammers, and should be reported. In the automotive industry, it would take only 1 car misrepresented by 6 years to totally end that business.

Depending on his state... he can do the same to these guys. At the very least, you can file suit against them with damages and get paid..
