Default Yamaha G14 Gas Dana Transaxle

So i think I screwed up and bought a Yamaha Mut! It's a G14 With a JR7 357 cm3 engine. Well, the transaxle input shaft crapped out and Holy Crap, the price for replacement parts. Does anyone have a G14 or G8 (was told will fit) rear end or suggestion a place to buy replacement parts to fix my transaxle? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm close to Houston, but willing to drive.

No kidding. $590!

Im guessing its worn where the sliding sheave rides on it?
I had heard about a machine shop laying beads of weld on it and then grinding it to size. I never saw one that was done that way and I don't if it is cost effective.

Thank You! Great Idea! I have a friend that does that type of work, guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

Input shaft kit from cartpartsplus.com is $359. I used the kit when it was $300, and it worked great.

The problem may be that isn't hardened in any way. May not hold up for any length of time.

Thank You Dave! I decided to order one from carpartsplus.com. My stock one is too far gone and parts have broken off of it.

HUGE SHOUT OUT TO carpartsplus.com !!! I ordered the new input shaft on Wed. at 1 p.m. and it was on my door steps at 11:00 a.m. the next day!! Now I'm waiting on other parts to arrive from other venders.

Fingers Crossed this will fix my issue!
