G16 surging on decel
Hello all,
My G16 recently started surging on decel enough to intermittently lock the rear tires. I believe it has something to do with the rear clutch. I’ve watched the rear clutch as it does this and it appears to go between low and high gear. It had a hd clutch spring, but I swapped the old one in and it still does this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Re: G16 surging on decel
One other thing I forgot to mention. If I keep the throttle open only a small amount while slowing down, it does not surge. Could it be the front clutch? I’ve heard sometimes installing a hd rear clutch spring can damage the front clutch.

Re: G16 surging on decel
Your rear clutch might need grease. Mine did that and I had to grease the zirk on the rear clutch

I thought that as well. I greases it, no change.
