I have the green springs and 68 gram weights that replaced the yellow springs and 130 gram weights in the original comet 780R from VC. This combo works better for me noting I live on an island that is pretty flat.

Good news! Those are good sturdy clutches. I would probably set it up like stock and see how it does. They usually are good out of the box with a Vtwin. Clones are a little different. I've used them on flat ground pavement and also on some of the steepest hills you can imagine in the woods of southern Ohio, they work great as they come. Now I get mine from CPP and Vegas Carts and they are set up identically.

You want to lube moving parts in a clutch but you can't just oil them. It attracts dirt which may be worse yet, and you can't have lube getting on the belt. So the dry lubes or graphite are about the most you can do. I used oil drops on my G9 weights/arms but it also has a full closed cover. I do put grease on the center shaft but very thin film and it is almost enclosed, does not appear to get any dirt on it. Anything open like that you can only use dry lubes. Of course sleds don't have dirt problems lol.
