Default need help with my G2 PLEASE HELP!

I am new to these carts and new to this site.

I recently purchased a 19?? G2 from a guy and he told me it got rebuilt 2 years ago but it sat for a year and got ring locked. He did not lye about the ring lock deal because i got it free. here is the kicker he did not have a key for it so i jumped the starter solenoid and it turned over but blew the oil cap flying and spewed oil all over me. Oil also started going into the air cleaner. After i disconnected the line going to the air cleaner i sprayed a little starting fluid and she ran until the either ran out. I took the vacuum p o s fuel pump apart but i have no idea if it is bad or not. I realize the head acts as a vacuum for the fuel but can this be replaced with an electric fuel pump and if so what kind and what do i need to plug off? ( there is no fuel getting to the carb.

Now the oil situation. I have read that this can be caused by too much oil but what else can cause this problem, and how do I check these problems?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. my serial is J55-108901 can anyone tell me the year or how to find out?

You have a 1990 G2.
To get it running without a key just unplug the two wires from the back of the key switch and put a jumper wire between them. push the pedal and it should turn over.
As for the oil, it should be drained and "1" quart added.
As for no gas to carb, after sitting for a year sometimes it helps to purge the fuel system to get fuel started in it and the pump wet.
The fuel pump check valve discs work and seal better when wet.
remove the fuel line from the carb and stick in a container, stick a hose 2 inches into the fuel tank filler and seal with a rag, blow in the hose until you see it come out the other end into the container.
This will show if any blockages are in the system.
The fuel pump gets its pulse from the engine crankcase. It can be tested by pulling the fuel line from the carb, sticking the end in a container and spinning the engine over.
If you get fuel, you need to pull the carb and clean it,
If you get no fuel, check the pulse line (hose runs from the block to the fuel pump) for cracks.
Also remove it from the fuel pump, spin the motor over and feel for a pulse on the end of the hose.

Not from the factory it wouldn't.
I just checked the stickies up top and the diagram show a red and brown wire going to ignition.
Can you post pics of it? I would have to guess aftermarket switch.

well I put a fuel filter on the breather line going to the air box and capped the air box off

primed the fuel line and turned it over to make sure the fuel pump is working which it is.

drained the oil and put exactly one quart in it

BUT it still wont run unless i spray starting fluid in it. The air cleaner was destroyed with oil when it sprayed everywhere, and there is no way for me to seal the air box because there are no straps or clips or whatever is used to hold it on. I tried choking the carb all the way with the air box duct taped shut (without an air cleaner) but it still would not run.

Can anyone help by telling me what I am doing wrong or what else I could try?
And what kind of ignition switch I need
