I took the bowl off took the jet out and unscrewed the air setting nut and sprayed the heck out of it with starting fluid and I do not think I have any clogs anywhere but the thing is so small I have no idea

Yes you still have clogs in the carb. you need to remove the carb, remove ALL of the jets, float/needle, low speed mixture screw and give it a good 2-3 hr soaking in a gallon can of "gunk" brand carb cleaner. It even comes with a little basket in the can.
After the soaking remove and wash the cleaner off of all the parts with water then blow out all of the holes with air. Wash with water will keep from atomizing the cleaner and either breathing it or getting it on anything important.

You fix your first problem: no key. Any G2 key will work. Or you join the red and brown wires as suggested earlier which completes the circuit when you press the gas pedal. What you are doing is shorting the solenoid and I don't think you will get continuous running of the engine that way.

and buy new tie down clips for the filter housing and get a new filter for it if you haven't already done so. You gotta have the airbox correct before you can start looking for other problems......
