Big block in a EZ-GO TXT chassis
Just woundering if a CPP big block kit would work on a 96 ez-go electric chassis? I'm sure I would need the fuel syetem and rear end from a gas unit. But would the kit even bolt up. The reason is, I have a nice donor chassis with no electrical. After buying every thing I need to make it run (Battries, controller ect), going with a big block might cost the same. Not to mention the power I'll get. Let me know what you guys think. Mark

Re: Big block in a EZ-GO TXT chassis
Frames are the same, you'll just need the gas parts. Our Honda conversion (24hp) is a killer setup. Just ask Roady - BGW site OWNER what he thinks of our package...

Mark with some fab work, the parts you mentioned and these two items, you would have a screamin cart!!!
Lots of upgrades available for this engine as well as the 23 hp. http://www.cartpartsplus.com/e-z-go-...e-carrier.html http://www.cartpartsplus.com/18-hp-v...-go-02-up.html |

It looks like a killer set up also. One question, is the honda power plant a more expensive unit or does your kit come with more options? It about a $1,500 difference. Thanks Mark.

Re: Big block in a EZ-GO TXT chassis
Never used the other kit you see posted - The honda is a 24 hp and comes complete with rear coil over suspension, external oil cooler, wiring, switches, engine mounting plate, skid plate, clutch, belt. Plus is the ONLY certified Honda engine package just for golf carts. Go to our You Tube video's and see my workhorse running at 42mph.

The cost of the conversion from electric to gas (rearend ,clutch)
will add to the cost if you buy new I'm betting some where near $1500.00 plus you kit ,the chassis are similar !!! Bigger the engine the better!!! |
