I told him that I needed a small piece of flat iron to use on the stick shift mod I am working on. He took me to a pile of scraps and said help yourself. Found exactly what I was looking for and offered to pay but he declined. Yep, liking him already.

Sounds like a great guy. WE call my scrap pile the sweet spot around here. My neighbors go through it all the time. it's amazing how much my wife hates that I throw away no metal, but she loves it when something suddenly pops up that I've created from bits of scrap!

I just found him in the phone book and he knew all about the hub problems and said that he had bought a hub of a guy and it was new and had a bad out of balance wobble so he went right to the source of the problem. Now I have a good machinist that I can rely on the do some fabrications.

The shop is in New Braunfels. Called shorty’s. Way too far for you to travel. Got to be a good machine shop near you. Make sure that it isn’t the wheel itself by swapping a front wheel and the wobbling wheel. May just be the wheel and not the axle.
