How to get cart to go faster!!
I just got an old 85 Yamaha Electric Cart and put brand new AC Delco Batteries in there. ($600) Got the ignition switch fixed and got er running. Only thing now is that it is very slow, and sometimes seems like it won't make it up hills. Is there anything you can do to speed these up?? Thanks

Re: How to get cart to go faster!!
Hmm I had the same thing when I got my cart. Kinda slow and the uphills were BAD. Batteries we my thing. Along with that terminals (not just at the battery) being clean, nice brillow pad work, clean and metal to metal contact.
Also ensure that the batteries are FULLY charged. BTW, slow is a subjective term. Define slow. HAve someone follow you and get the speed on the spedo, (flat surface and uphill) |

When I put the new batteries in I also bought brand new cables but I'll give that a shot too. So that gave your cart a boost, just by using a brillow pad on the terminals?? Thanks

Sounds like those are not GC batteries? Can you post specs?
