Default not sure where to go next timeing advance?

whats it doing? well starts great and when working will runs great. but when first started after being at ambiant temp or be sitting a while and close. It will start fine but has no power and will not come above a low rpm just gut less and chokeing it has no effect. drive it for a little bit and at a random time it will come alive and do fine and will stay that way. has yet to go back to poor performance after it started runing right with out it sitting and cooling off

What have i checked? fuel pump sprays all over the place
carb is clean and all looks to be in good shape (runs fine when it runs)
air cleaner and air box and duck work is all in good operating conditon have tried to run it with no breather and same results.
changed plug and spark seems to be good and hot all the time
checked that every thing has a good ground even added a ground
disconnected the muffler to by pass it and same result

so do these things have an electronic advance or something seems like it has something to do with the advance because there doesn't seem to be anything left?

oh and its a g8 cart about 90-91

Your clutches (both primary and secondary) may be in need of servicing. I would start by giving each clutch one or two shots of grease (no more !), then see how it is. Try observing clutch operation while running in neutral or with rear wheels jacked up. Clutches should articulate smoothly when revving up the engine. (you can look up some movie threads here showing how they should work). If greasing doesn't help, you may have some worn parts causing problems. Proper clutch operation is a very important part of having good performance. Good luck, and advise what you find - RAY
