Rebuild in my future!!!!!
Well it looks like i found the problem with my 295. A broken rod. I have not tore the motor apart to see if the crank is ruined. I hope not. My question is one rebuild kit better than another and where can i find the best price? Like everyone else im on a budget and the 300+ dollars for the crank scares me. Thats more than I paid for the whole cart. Now I know why!!!

Re: Rebuild in my future!!!!!
the crankshaft is made from harden steel, the connectiing rod is soft alum,, Even if the crank looks bad, you can usualy polish it to like new shape,,, tear the eng apart and you might find that you only need the connection rod, may be rings, and usualy intake valves.
