Back-up Buzzer
My reverse buzzer is broken, no sound, so I disconnected it. I believe it drained my batteries a few times before I figured out what was going on. I left the parked car in reverse for a few days. I am thinking of getting another one because of the safety aspect but... will not having one cause harm?
Thanks for the help! |

NOT TRUE!
It's NEVER a good idea to not have a reverse buzzer! Disclaimer: I... anyone on this forum, or... BGW itself, is/are NOT responsible for your actions in the result of using, or, misusing this information that may cause possible damage to yourself, your property, or someone else! |

. . . after a six pack of Sam Adams, that reverse buzzer has probably saved a few lives (people behind me, that is) . . . .

Re: Back-up Buzzer
Do you have a back up buzzer on your car? Most of these carts are not used on the street. Our county law does not require it.

There isn't a county "law" or even a rule at the campground that requires them, But, there are a lot of kids, and animals that get out of the way when they hear it! Plus... your not continually riding around in reverse anyway, so it can't be all that bad! It's a safety feature... and IMO... it should be left intact and working, so we don't hear of any horror story's! Club Car buzzers may be annoying, but, not near as annoying as EZ-Go's! |

Re: Back-up Buzzer
Seems every 2 days or so we have to say the same thing, tell the same stories, etc.......
The buzzer keeps you from parking it in reverse. All ya need is one time you leave it in reverse when you stop somewhere, an hour later you jump on it and hammer down thinking you never leave it in reverse and instead of going forward you launch backwards into the neighbors bushes, their car, or worse yet, the kid or dog standing behind you. Diconnecting the reverse buzzer is irresponsible! And yes, mine are connected on both carts. All the neighbors carts are connected. I've said it before, heed this warning or remember it at the point it becomes tragically relevant because it's not a matter of if it happens, just when! |
