1991 ezgo 2cycle muffler
Is there any alternative to the 2329 expensive muffler for a 1991 ezgo 2 cycle? The cheapest I found was $600. Looking for another way to replace it. Anyone?? Help!

I have that muffler and can do $500 plus shipping. Should be by far the cheapest you'll find.

Muffler is still available. I know the price seems crazy, but check out the sponsors and retailers if you think you can get a better price. I'm not sure why this muffler is so expensive compared to the rest.

Re: 1991 ezgo 2cycle muffler
How bad is your muffler? I have repaired quite a few of these ezgo 2 stroke mufflers. There is nothing special inside, just baffles and insulation. Sometimes it is just a matter of cutting out some rot and welding in new material. Many of the 3pg mufflers it is a cracked or broken stack or inlet pipe, this due to loose band clamps that hold the muffler rigid in it's mount. It is best not mig weld them,if you get pieces of mig wire hanging in the exhaust stream it will affect the performance. Best thing is to clean the piece inside and out and tig weld them being careful not to over penetrate them. If the tail pipe is damaged or broken it is important to get the exact length and diameter pipe to replace it with as this will also affect performance.

Re: 1991 ezgo 2cycle muffler
What is wrong with it? I have done some brazing on mine including brazing the mounting bracket back on. It has lasted several years and if the braze lets go, I will just braze it again. 2 years isn't bad for the 20 minutes it takes. Costs me $0. I have a 88 Marathon
