Switch out the axle with a pre-97' unit,You can find deals on parts-carts occasionally.Its' a direct bolt-in,you can use your existing shifter-assy,cables,and brakes.The problem with a Jack-Shaft is the space it takes up,along with the motor and trans-axle.A Jack-Shaft can also cost quite a bit,if you don't shop around,and could cost you as much as a used axle anyway.Hope this helps.

i wonder how much difference there is in the width of the other brand axles. anybody have the mesurments of the width on the others?
