Default 4 Wire Voltage Regulator

I need to replace the voltage regulator on my 1998 carryall vi cart. The current VR is rectangular instead of square. It has a yellow wire, red wire, a black wire that splits into two blacks, but also has a blue wire that comes off of the other end of the regulator and appears to run to the solenoid. Can anyone instruct me as to where I can buy the 4 wire model?

Thanks for the help!

Google is your friend...

The Parts List for your CC Carryall VI...

Pages 7-20, 7-21 sho the VR is CC part number 1017238.

There are a lot of them listed on eBay, but no direct part number matches. Maybe one matches the one you already have?

I really appreciate the information and parts list!

I had attempted to search prior to posting, but simply can't find an exact duplicate of my VR, even with the part number. It is odd that the part is so hard to find.

First off, It shouldn't matter if it's square or rectangular, it should still fit in the box!
(most aftermarket VR's I've seen are rectangular)

2nd... I was looking through my wiring diagrams, (Villager4/6, CarryAll 2 plus)
and they show the blue wire! but it's for a "key start" cart!

Is your CA 4 a key start?

My cart is a keystart. After continued searching, I have found a VR that looks similar to mine, but it states it is for 2008+. My carryall 6 is a 1998 model (just recently bought used and it is my first cart), so my knowledge base is a little small, but growing.

6 not 4... sorry!

The 08+ VR should be just fine for your cart, as long as it has the blue wire!

Word of advice... most of us have "pedal start" carts, (most common)
and when asking for help on your cart, always try to state that it's a "key start"!

Hope this helps!

I apologize for any confusion I caused by not stating it was a keystart.

I do appreciate all of the responses and guidance! Also, that is one awesome looking cart Lockman!
