![]() I want to add one of these battery meters to my precedent cart. The charge light is a joke. I like the ones with the red and green vertical bars. I noticed that Curtis makes them, and there are what appears to be import ones. Should I spend the extra and buy the Curtis or is the cheaper one any good. Thanks.

![]() Question about meter wiring....
I am getting ready to install one in my cart. What gauge wire do you recommend? I am getting ready to run to Lowes to pick it up. |

![]() Way easier then your lights were
![]() ![]() I have both... the pretty Green, Yellow & Red LED's and what I call the real deal... a digital DC voltmeter display. The Digital display shows REAL voltage readings while the LED's are set to different voltages. When my LED gauge is flashing red, telling me that less then 10% of my battery life is left... the true reading of the pack is 48.4 volts or actually 50% pack left which is where you should stop and put it on a charger. The Digital meter runs around $20 and I paid $50 for the pretty one. One thing to remember... after about 7-10 minutes of stop time your pack voltage will rise about .7 volts so if the meter showed 48.5 when you first stop... it will show 49.2 after 7-10 minutes. Just take that into account whenever you stop your cart so you'll know that you really have a little more in the tank... so to speak! And this way with a Digital meter on your pack at all times... you don't have to use a separate meter to test true readings of you pack. |
