when i accelerate I get interference in speakers

2000 txt when I push accelerator I get noise in my speakers,like a popping staticky noise. I am Grounded to battery , have a heavy duty battery in there and 4 gauge wire for ground and positive, What can I do??

Try grounding both the metal case of the head unit and the ground wire (-) to the battery. Does it do it on radio, cd or both?

ok I might have figured it out, I dont have resistor spark plugs so I will change out tomorrow and see if that works...

changed my plugs to a ngk resistor plug and its gone !!yay

Cool, never would have thought that. Really should be a sticky cause this happens all the time.....not tha ALL of em can be resolved with changing the plug type. Was the resistor type plug the stock spark plug?

yeah it wasn't a resistor plug in there ,had the mind going crazy over here . Ilike it though nice easy fix and now off to the next project
