Default Need brake light help for 2007 Club Car Precedent

Recently purchased a used, 2007 Club Car Precedent, only need to get the brake lights working to make it street legal. The light kit is a Custom Golf Light Kit, Part # HL-PHPD-DLX-E-K. Issue is that the brake lights go on when the cart is turned off and will go off and not work when the cart is turned on. Think it may be a wiring issue, anyone ever run into this? Any suggestions?
