I replaced the shaft on my F/R switch, now I'm having trouble getting it lined up.
I have a 97 DS gas cart. The screw that holds down the switch was stripped so I had to cut it off.
I took it apart and replaced the shaft, but now I'm having trouble lining up all the little pieces and switches. Im going to where the cart is tomorrow, and I haven't had time to go mess with it. I'm going to try and figure it out. It may be nothing, I just didn't have much time the last time I was there. Is there any tips or tutorials I can find on setting the f/r switch? Any help is appreciated. |

I don't think there is any info on changing the shaft in this switch.
It's not really made to be disassembled. Just hold your tongue in your left cheek and stand on one leg while wrestling all those pieces together.lol I may have ended up doing assembly in a vise, but not sure. GL and let us know how it goes. |

Sorry it was so big, I thought it was only 9.2 meg. My bad, I'll try to do better in the future.

Ummm... Scotty? isn't that a F/R for a series electric cart? (Dude... you need to slow down and read!)
Here's what I don't get... WHAT shaft, on WHAT switch was cut? The shaft holding the F/R handle on? |

Yes the metal shaft that the lever slides onto. The screw holding it on was old and it stripped. I had to grind the end off.

If part 11 is spinning, then part 7 might be missing.

It may be a possibility that one of the shaft bushings (#8 ) are still on the old shaft!
I've seen that before, hopefully you haven't thrown out the old shaft yet! *edit*... the yellow knob is spinning! |
