Re: 48 volt yamaha drive rear noise
So couple pics to follow up after taking the motor back off, you can see the amount of gunk in there. Also the grommet didn’t make it through the first round, I have another that I’ll trim down to see if that works better. Thoughts?

Re: 48 volt yamaha drive rear noise
Replacing the grommet worked for me as well. I have been chasing this noise for several months. Nice $2.80 fix. Much appreciated info!

Re: 48 volt yamaha drive rear noise
Well...I spoke too soon. The noise completely disappeared for 2 days but is back. I didn't add the penny, I will order another grommet and try that.

Re: 48 volt yamaha drive rear noise
Hey Guys,
Just bought a new 2022 Yamaha Lithium cart and it has the same noise - accelerating or decelerating on a level road its quiet however if you coast down any grade it sounds like a rod knock in the tranny which is totally un-acceptable. The Lithium models are supposed to be totally re-designed, I can't believe Yamaha would release a product in this condition. |

Re: 48 volt yamaha drive rear noise
I had this problem with an 07, but it was due to braking. I swapped out the transaxel fluid and the issues went away.
