1989 workhorse no spark
i acquired a gas cart that was running for a short time then quit. I pulled the plugs and it has no spark. I check the forums and some of the posted wiring charts, but mine dont seem to match up color wise. I have a single 2post coil with a white and red wire going to it. My spark module also has different colors than whats listed. Help here plz.

Re: 1989 workhorse no spark
Here's the diagram I have for an '89:
Hope it helps - even if the wires are colored differently (as they are on my late '8 the paths, etc are still the same, so hopefully this will get you around! |

Re: 1989 workhorse no spark
Im thinking of the HEI conversion. Most on here only show one coil/plug and i have a two cylinder with a single coil with two plug wires. How do i wire in another set of coils if i want to replace the stock one?
I tested my coils OHMs it reads 0.00 between + and - with the wires unhooked. Does that mean it shorted out? |
