ok here is a snowmobile clutch vid, you might want to mute it..

Looks like they just rebuilt it, or something, but you can clearly see the
action of the CVT as the clutch gains in RPM it closes on the belt and pushes it
to the best point for speed or torque.

I suspect a cable (or whatever pedal attaches to) as I didn't sense any resistance when stepping on it.

Well, that didn't take long!!! Cart is still on the truck as it is raining. Wife comes to me a few minutes ago with a little dodad in hand and says, "I can put this in MY golf cart".
Guess I may be looking for a 2nd one LOL
