Default Need Help with Carb



This is a 1980 g1.
Gas is leaking around this peice. What do I need to do?

The gas is not spitting out the side of the carb any more, however it takes a lot of choke to make it start. I am taking it to the shop tomorrow for seals and rings.

How did you unstick your float? I just cleaned my carb and now I have gas comming out of there too

I took it to a repair shop, the guy took it apart and cleaned it for free,

The carb fitting that you have circled, isn't that for the oil line from the oil pump? If anyone has photos of or a diagram of how all the hoses hook up I would like to see them. I am working on a 80 G1 for a buddy. The Cart was dropped off in a basket pretty much. Engine was out of cart with no hoses. Any help would be appreciated

No hose goes there, that part is solid with no holes in it.

If you have gas leaking it could be a stuck float((tap on the carb with a large screwdriver handle)) or a piece of crud it the inlet needle seat(( disassemble and clean))

Thats where the oil injection line hooks up, if your not using it you need to mix the gas & plug that fitting or it will suck air & run lean.
