Thats why its always best to make mods after you have a good running car in stock form. Unless your at sea level, the .042 should do it. I wouldn't go any larger.

Yeah, it ran fine last year, just had to choke it a little more, would leaving the choke on all the time do anything? Or just making it run richer. I think I need to look into the throttle a little more, maybe I adjusted it to much making it flood out

For me, i always have to find out whats wrong before i modify.

You'll have less power running with the choke on.

Thinking it over, the carb probably needs to be cleaned, or old gas. Or both!

Yeah I understand, sometimes I'm inpatient haha, but I have never took the tank out or cleaned the fuel pump so ill start with that, it was a campsite cart when I got it, one of my dads buddy's. He didn't do much maintenance to it, its come along way but still needs so much. Thanks for your advice bud

I just used a torch tip cleaner to file out my G9 until it ran good, took about 8 tries you don't want to go too far. I took the silencer and baffles out of the airbox. Did the same thing on the clone I put in a G9. You can also solder them back shut if you go too far. There are charts all over the net what drill size makes what jet.

You can run into problems if you don't fix maintenance issues first.

Yeah that's what I ending up using also, I just went one size up, it was kinda of a pain to file it, see I totally took my air box out and just used the hose coming from the Carb and hooked a filter to it, what do u mean you took the silencer off? Should I put my stock filter box back in. I wanna make sure it's running right before I do any more mods to make it faster, I was gonna get the power kit. Thanks bud

You have modded the intake so you will have to get it jetted right.
Run it wide open for a couple blocks and stop and pull the plug
(careful that sucka is hot) a good color is lite tan. Lots of plug reading posts on google.

Long as you have a filter on it, should be good. I took that silencer off above the generator on a G9, screwed the jetting all up. Later took the partitions out of the box not much left in there but that big filter. I kept the box and filter in there because its so dusty where I run it. But this year a clone is going in I think I will put a car airbox in like the did the other one. Then I piped it to the front for clean air, and the filters are $7 new.

Google reading plugs/sparkplugs. I prefer a little rich with a aircooled single I want tan, not a whiff of tan on white (like some say, not you Doom lol). Look at the insulator.
