Default G1 shocks/springs bad?

Hi, I have a G1 with no lift, it does have knobby ATV tires, so the tires are a bit taller then normal tires, but not much. Just recently when i start going over some bumps, the front tire on the passenger side of the cart goes up and rubs the cart, making a loud noise in the process. It doesent ever do it on the driver side. This is making me wonder if perhaps the front shock/spring is bad on that side? Is that a possibility?

I have noticed that a lot of you are putting ATV shocks on these. If i wanted to do that, what length or which model of ATV shock assembly would I look for that would fit on my non-lifted G1?? Or should I just be looking at a stock shock assembly?

Thanks!

Yamaha is very proud of these shocks...I'm a delear and they retail at $120.80 Each...if you can find an atv one that will work I would go that route

Well I found a Yamaha shock assembly on Amazon for $60 after shipping, not as bad as I would have thought.

Do the ATV shocks have any advantage over the stock Yamaha shocks? If I could find a pair of used ATV shocks on Ebay for $50 i would probaby spring for that, they have lots of them on there for that price, just not the right size. Not sure which size I need to be looking for, or from which ATV model.
