Default Fast G16 Lift Kit Question / Opinions or Experience Needed

So I've been doing a LOT of off-roading this spring (even more than usual) as I cut new trails through the 27 acres I recently added to the spread (all heavy hills and heavy timber) ... And I'm *just* not thrilled with the 6" lift on my G16 (rides rough, not a ton of travel, etc). I'm of course wanting to go with the long-travel kit, but the price has me ALSO looking at the new (?) 7" Double A-arm kit. My 23's occasionally rub when I'm giving it hell, so the extra inch would be great but my question is will I gain a more compliant ride and better handling with the A-arm kit or is it really a better idea to just pop for the Long-Travel? I know either way the rear suspension will remain the weak link - but right now the main issue is the front suspension (or somewhat lack thereof with the drop-spindle kit I have now) ...

Anyone have experience or opinions to share, I'd really appreciate it !!!

Speed costs money. It all telegraphs to the next weak link, and just how fast you want to go. I have heard the Jake's long travel shocks aren't good. So there is an added expense after that! Then like you said, "rear sus.? Where do you draw the line?

Well, I already have done the full Plowmans route on the engine, exhaust, carb, and both clutches, so speed is just fine (I can hit 35 all day long) - I guess I'm at that point where I have enough of an investment into the cart already to justify popping a few extra bucks to get it dialed in the way I would like it to be, and at this juncture that mainly involves a bit more travel and smoothness up front. The double A-arm kit utilizes the factory shocks but changes the trajectory, etc so I'm guessing it offers a couple of inches more travel and also a bit smoother ride, is that the case?

Was not aware of a "drop spindle" lift for a G16. Can you show us a picture?

Brew, stock shocks are a very short stroke. I don't believe your going to gain much with the cheap lift.

My point is might do better with one of those UTE things. But then your just buying somebody else's race car, and I think thats why most people are here. They, like you want to build there own! That's why I'm here!! If I cant learn something, no fun in doing it!

I've already got a Prowler for when I want to get silly fast on the trails, LOL - and Youre 100% on with the "wanting to do it myself" - last year I chopped up an old Marathon and put TXT plastics on it, I'd seen it done but most of the guys who had done it were somewhat elusive about the procedure, etc so I figured "HEY - if someone else can do it, so can I" and it actually turned out to be an easy afternoons project ...

In the interim though, I found another G16 semi-locally that already has the LT kit on it, I'm going to go take a test ride this weekend hopefully and see if I can justify the $700 based on how it rides and handles ... REALLY want to get this cart dialed in, the Plowman mods turned this thing into a BLAST to drive (other than the suspension)
