Yamaha 48v charger question

If you are messing around with batteries of any kind, it is a good practice to have a bottle or can of carbonated soda very near by. If acid gets in your eyes you can flush them immediately with the soda. It will neutralize the battery acid. Be safe-- not stupid!!!

depending on how it is burnt, it may be a better idea to tap the post rather than trying to solder it......

You hit the nail right on the head, one cart works great, the other not so good, 50% was right on the money.....lol, I used a high lead soder on the post and it worked perfect.........thanks again

OK< now I want to put some lights on my buggie, can I use 1 series of my batteries, and use 12 volt lights?

That's what I do!! I don't go very far afield at night so I don't have much effect on the battery pack. If you plan on running anything else 12 volt, you might consider a voltage reducer or a spare battery for accessories that you can charge with a separate 12 volt charger...... my next move!!

Ok, on the 2nd cart I checked the Voltage, 5 batteries are at 7 and one is at 5. do you think if I replace the 1 battery it will power up? the bad battery is getting very hot during charging........

Checked the batteries, all but 1 is putting out 7 volts, I think maybe the bad one is keeping the others from a full charge
