Default My G2/G9 build so far

I've still got a lot to do to it, but its a start. I picked it up for free with a blowen motor in it, got a G9 parts cart with a good motor in it and swapped the engine out. Lifted it a little, camo wrap, paint, etc. had to rebuild the brakes, they where completly shot.

I actually disagree with you mike! I like it without the back body! I think it looks sweet!

Ditto, looking good! The steering wheel you have looks like the same one I'm getting. Was pretty busy yesterday mowing, but will post some more pictures of the drop brackets you were asking me about in the G9 frame repair section this afternoon.

I started off with new brake shoes. Even before I took the drums off. Figured they where shot. once I got into them the adjuster screw had backed out so far that it messed up the threads in the adjuster nut. you have to pull the axles to get the backing plate off, so i lubed and checked the bearings there too. my springs looked good. I took the backing plates and cleaned them, I even had to take a small file and dress up some of the places the brake shoes contact the actuating mechanisms. I had to also get new drums. I cleaned, and cleaned everything and put grease on all the pivot point. The dirt and brake dust was caked on everything in there. Any problems holler at me. I basically had to clean and rebuild most things in there. But to buy new backer plates was way out of my budget.

Hmm, brakes, 30 bucks each wheel. Drums, 50 bucks each, adjuster nut/screw, driver and passenger 24 bucks. washers metal/fiber 7 bucks. These are by memory.
about 130 or so.
But the guy I got the cart for checked at the repair shop and was quoted 350 for complete job, and they don't take the time to clean/grease/detail/adjust like you would. I still have to get a new brake return spring for the pedal up front. I need to tear it down and grease/clean all that but it works I just need to pull up on the brake pedal with my foot, it drags a little otherwise.
