Default New RXV Rear End, Will I Need to Add Oil?

I've ordered a new rear end for my RXV. Anybody know if they come wet or dry.

can't say FOR SURE, but I would be willing to bet they are shipped DRY. AND will most likely (of its coming from the "factory") will have a tag/sticker "REQUIRES OIL TO BE ADDED" or something to that effect.

IF there is no labeling to the above.....and you are not ABSOLUTLY sure....open it and check. better safe than sorry.

My local dealer ordered a new rear end from E-Z-GO and it arrived with no oil.

The last one we got Did have oil. Pop the plug out & look. If oil is needed, be sure to also add friction modifier.

The new rear end was shipped with oil and there is about 90% less whine after it was installed . I think what I'm hearing now is a little motor noise.

That is good to hear. RXV motors and rears tend to whine louder than other carts. It drives dogs nuts when they get loud. Dogs used to chase my RXV until I would blast the horn. That loud car horn would suprise them and stop them from chasing.

Any plans for your old rear end? My local dealer has a RXV rear housing that needs internal parts that he was unable to find parts for from E-Z-GZO. He offered it to me. I've been trying to come up with a rear end for the RVX that I wrecked.

Bob

Bob you are welcome to the rear end. Just to help you figure out how to get the rear end from point A to point B, I live in Gastonia N.C. PM me if you come up with a plan.

Thank you. I travel all over the state and frequently go to that area of NC. My wrecked RXV is still in central NC awaiting repair of the frame. I'll send you a PM
