Do you have experience with the alltrax ACT controllers, what are your thoughts on strengths-weaknesses-your preference?

Obviously you have one looking at your posts!
Typo? Meant XCT rather than ACT?

The XCT controllers for SepEx motors (Like ours) and SR for Series motors, are the best thing since sliced bread.

Plug in a laptop and you can program it to be akin to a drag racer, or a granny go to market without spilling her beer cart.

With the FNKS remote module, you can program up to three different personalities so granny can use it, the kids can use it and you can use it.

By setting the max RPM limit above what the Curtis controllers are limited to, you can get more speed out of the cart and going to a higher than stock ampacity, you can get more torque.

Basically, there isn't much that cannot be programmed and there aren't any cons that I can think of.

After double checking all the pins and finally admitting defeat, I ordered the alltrax yesterday, just went with the 400a model that applied to my carts specs.

Thanks again JohnnieB for all the help, much appreciated!

I have 3 mpt 1200s in my fleet, all 3 had the same problem. There is a junction of 3 wires that are pressed together,no solder,no connector,nothing...they are pressed and fused together at the factory. The connection got green and reaked havoc on the running of the carts. It is located on the passenger sideabout 4 inches from the front of the rocker panel, encased in plastic wire loom. I cleaned the wires up and soldered the new connection and the problems went away.

Ok, so this alltrax controller powers up and stays powered. It has no errors however the key switch and the HPD satisfied fields are the only fields that react to the physical controls on the cart. The throttle percentage reacts accurately to the ITS......

I'm assuming that I have a shot switch or gremlin somewhere. The solenoid is not reacting.

Crusin is that forward of the rocker panel under the wheel well or rear of the rocker in the battery compartment?

Alright all the clues are telling me I have an issue on the solenoid engagement circuit, I believe. However I have checked or have controller confirmed function

Checked
Foot switch has continuity
F/R rocker has continuity

Controller confirmed
Key switch is functional
Throttle inductive sensor is functional

Solenoid is not energized on the small posts and is not engaging

To get the solenoid to activate, the following conditions must be met.
1. Charger plugged into cart, or on-board charger not plugged into AC power.
2. Run/Tow switch in Run.
3. Keyswitch ON
4. Either F or R selected on F/R switch.
5. Pedal pressed far enough to toggle pedal switch.

All five of those conditions appear in the Gauge section of the Monitor tab in the Toolkit program. If they are, the Relay Status should also indicate ON unless an error flag is set.

Please post screen capture of Toolkit Monitor page when cart is misbehaving.

This is the monitor page

I really like the software with this controller, this is nice!

I depressed the throttle to show its function

"Footswitch off" is the current hurdle to overcome.

Either Forward Switch Input or Reverse Switch Input has to be ON or True as well as Pedal Switch.
