Been following this and thanks for the info guys. I also have the curtis meter and like it and plan on leaving it in the "factory" harness that came with the controller. The volt/ammeter I'm installing, will be entirely separate wiring and on all the time but I can set it to go to sleep after 10 min of non use. Just trying to scare up some twisted pair shielded wire for the ammeter shunt wiring.

Very helpful indeed... Thanks for all the education.

That still leaves me with a question? Can you attach a link to a reputable or good meter that's digital and shows percentage instead of volts or a needle? I'm thinking I will straight wire it and the draw from what I've heard is minimal. You tell me? Are there any good meters, like the one with green and red vertical bars? The more options the better please!

Thanks guys!

Does anyone have a detailed picture of hooking this up (where wires go and splicing them in) to a key switch on a txt instead of a wiring diagram. Thanks

Looks like perhaps a connector for turn signals. The built in wiring for meter is terminated with female spade connectors that plug directly into Curtis meter & are ran in a braided loom.

I'll note that for future reference. I don't think I have that under the hood.

The meter wires are up with the keyswitch wires, not typically laying around like the wires you showed. Pull the keyswitch panel off & look back there.

Pull it... How? I've been searching for threads and videos. I keep thinking I have to drill all of the rivets and pull the cowl off or completely remove the dash.
