Default EZGO 5 Lug Hub

I want to changeout the tires/wheels on my old ezgo limo electric cart, but the hub has 5 lugs and I can only find 4 lug tire/wheels. Is there a place that sells 5 lug tire/wheels; have a 5-to-4 lug adapter or do I have to changeout the hubs.

Thanks

We used 2" spares and 17" rims with 215-40-17 off a mustang

I'm wondering if you can find 4 lug hubs that will fit your spindles.

And if I recall correctly, the 5 lug setup is a axle/hub combo, with a separate drum (with 5 stud holes in it). I think it's gonna be spacer/adapters, or other 5 lug rims you find.

I'm in the same boat Piratecu. My ezgo shuttle project has the 5 lug set up as well. It's either stock steel wheels, or automotive wheels if you stick with the 5 lug. I am looking at adapters but have only seen high prices ($299-350) for a set of 4. Tough justifying the purchase, but I'm almost there.

Clubcaral,

I'm there for purchasing an adapter. Do you have the vendor who sells the adapter?

Thanks

It may be easier to get 5 lug rims, just have to watch the OD. What is your bolt pattern?

I assume the below calculator is without weight on the tire, but
https://tiresize.com/calculator/
shows 215-40-17 will be 23.8" OD and looks pretty cool.

If it were me I'd take the time to call up a local junkyard and ask. The one near me is (I think) $45 for a rim/tire combo or $180 for a set of four.

I talked to this guy in the phone from Jacksonville. He was around the $350 number. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IEAPOU3Trs

Seemed like a solid guy, said it would end up spacing the wheels out a little over 2.25 inches as a result of the adapters. I will keep looking for the other guy and update when I find it.

Clubcaral and Everyone,

Thanks for your help. I'm going to try the adapter option.

Have a Nice Easter,
Rick

Let me know which one you end up ordering and how it fits.
