I though about something else, put a wire between the MultiStep potentiometer pad post with the Purple wire and the post beside that has no resistors or wires on it.

The old Regen Controller did a HPD test right after the key switch was turned ON and the MultiStep throttle will not pass it, only a true potentiometer will.

Sergio is a highly skilled system troubleshooter on this forum. I can sense his frustration on this one. The challenge is that we truly dont know if that FSIP controller was compromised by the prior owner and cant function without repair; but almost certainly the old controller is toast. There's no way to know if your flogging a dead horse without FSIP confirming the full functionality of that device. And if your going thru all that, its actually more rational to replace the harness and convert it to IQ.

I definitely appreciate you and sergios help , I wish I would have had a better outcome but looks like Im gonna sell it or part it out if I cant find a controller and iq harness at a reasonable price. I still need batteries , iq harness , and controller. I don't think this cart is worth 1500 to 2000 dollars plus what I paid for it.

If you guys see used parts give me a shout.
