I'm no mechanical engineer, but think that cable is supposed to be in a singular wrapped piece.

The AC electric RXV cart is quite different than carts you are used to. It has no mechanical brake system. All braking is done via the AC motor, fly-by-wire. The brake that was replaced is a parking brake meant to hold the cart still when no input is being applied. This brake will also be engaged when moving if the operator pushes the brake pedal to the floor in an emergency ( or just showboating) and it may or may not survive this application as it is destructive. Also, the throttle and direction selector act much differently than carts you are used to. They require deliberate operation and a second or two to determine the carts status before acting. It can be very frustrating for new users.
